Favorites of November
There is nothing better then the smell of a brand new book, a crackling fire and a steaming cup of coffee or tea. With winter coming and the holiday chaos right around the corner what better way to avoid family drama then to bury your nose in a good book.
Okay I do love the smell of books but I'm addicted to my Kindle app. Its so easy to download a new book and you can get tons of books for free. When you're living paycheck to paycheck like me you don't always have enough money to spend on books. These are some of my favorites from November that you can get for free and fast on Kindle.
- Friends with the Monsters by Albany Walker
- This is a Reverse Harem romance and completely unique. It was very well written and
I absolutely loved it. The story is about Dami who is quite literally friends with the monsters. Her best friend is a brownie and she entertains all the dark creatures the lurk in the shadows and under beds. I love stories where the female lead is confident and bad ass and this book has that and more. - Hunted (The Feral Souls Trilogy - Book 1) by Erica Woods
- This one is also a Reverse Harem romance that I found and I really liked it. Its about a very scared and emotional girl named hope who has spent like eighteen years in a hunters compound underground being tortured and beaten. The story begins with her escaping and fleeing into the woods. Literally the most exciting part of the book to be honest. Then she almost gets run over by a car filled with four men who rescue her and offer her sanctuary for her while she recovers and heals. The whole story is basically her trying to overcome the emotional and physical abuse that she has had to suffer for more then half her life. Literally nothing happens in this book but it honestly was so beautifully written that I couldn't put it down. I cannot wait until the next book comes out.
- Releasing the Gods (The Titans Saga Book 1) by Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve
- This book has it quirks. I think what sold this book for me was the Greek mythology. I'm definitely a sucker for a good rendition of Greek gods and goddesses. This book gives a fresh new take Ancient Greek folklore with the Titans being the main focus of this book and Zeus and his children being the bad guys. Maisey is the female lead who happens to release the Greek titan Cronus from his prison on her twenty first birthday. This book was interesting to say the least. I think the only thing I didn't like about this book was the fact that Maisey is obsessed with her Instagram and she talks about her hashtags and followers nonstop which makes her come off as a bit shallow but I grew to really like her and her relationship with Cronus. I definitely recommend this book if only for the entertainment factor.
- Daughter of Death (Dark Provenance Series Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss
- Evangeline is your very own fallen angel heroine who is confident bad ass, sexy and just downright awesome. I love a good strong female lead in my books and Evangeline is that. This book was well written and entertaining. The chemistry between her and her dark angel Xai leaves you breathless and panting. That sounds gross but seriously I really liked the story and everything with this book.
These were just a few of my favorites this month, I need to try and be better at remembering all the books Ive read and taking notes right after I read them. Its hard to write a review after a couple weeks but this is a work in progress and Ive only just started doing this so hang in there with me!
